Vicars GameThe majority of our meat and game comes via Vicars Game. This amazing establishment, set in rural Berkshire is well worth a visit. They have a very well stocked Farm shop supplying meat and game such as you have never before tasted. Rarely today is beef hung properly, but steaks from here will astonish you with their flavour and succulance. All of our venison is skinned and butchered here.Games On!Casey Fields Farm, Ashampsteadinfo@vicarsgame.co.uk Award winning beers of exceptional characterThis small brewery was founded in 1995 by real beer enthusiasts, Dave and Helen Maggs, in the old stables behind The Pot Kiln - Now moved to Yattendon, barely 1 mile away, they brew a range of fine beers, which we regularly feature as guest ales here at The Harwood Arms Where the country comes to townWalham GroveFulhamLondon SW6 1QPtel: 0207 386 1847admin@harwoodarms.comMake online reservationVicars Game wins Countryside Alliance Southern Region award 2010“Anyone who can produce two tonnes of sausages per day gets my vote to start with! Vicars is an incredible outfit, a butcher, farm shop and game dealer with a true commitment to quality local produce and traditional butchery skills. Open seven-days, Vicars is doing a great job of supporting local farmers and shoots, and owners Alan and Owen maintain a very hands on role within the business and can still be seen on a daily basis preparing the meat and personally training the staff. They also still use the same methods and techniques that they learned nearly 50 years ago. They began two years ago, due to local demand, holding butchery classes, mainly for small breeders to learn how to get the most from their produce. I cannot recommend Vicars highly enough, they are everything a butcher shop should be and much, much more.
